New Position at West Fork –I am the new 6th/7th Grade Reading/Language Arts teacher.
Education Background –I attended High School at North Central in Manly. I graduated from Iowa State University with a BS in Elementary Education and graduated from New Mexico State University with a Master of Arts in Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
Previous teaching experience – I have taught for 19 years in a variety of settings including a border school in New Mexico and a military setting in Texas. My classrooms have ranged from Elementary, High School, Special Education, Reading Specialist and Guest Teacher in Hunan China with the Lutheran Missionary League.
Interests / Hobbies: I enjoy traveling and have been to China, Germany and Scotland. Reading has taken me on adventures including zorbing, zip-lining, para-sailing, hot-air ballooning and rail speeding. I share my adventures through pictures with my Gnome and websites with my students including interesting places to visit such as the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, MN and the Cedar Cove Feline Sanctuary in Louisburg, Kansas. I treasure my free time watching programs from the BBC, embroidering and working outside on the acreage. I look forward to challenging Scrabble games, taking care of my feline family and visiting with my brothers and sister.
