High School Chemistry and Physics Teacher

New Position at West Fork –High School Chemistry and Physics Teacher

Education Background – Attended Iowa State University and earned a B.S in Industrial Engineering and worked in the private sector for over 10 years.

Previous teaching experience – Earned teaching credentials and Master of Arts in Teaching from Kaplan University in 2010. Over 9 years of teaching experience including parochial schools located NW Iowa, CAL, and Hampton-Dumont.

Interests / Hobbies:  Include golf and following all MN professional sports teams and ISU teams.  I am a big fan of MN Vikings and ISU men’s basketball and football and I also enjoy supporting my children’s activities ranging from city league softball to high school cross-country.

Interesting Fact about me:

I am from a family of three older sisters and I was adopted from Vietnam when I was 6 months old and became a Naturalized US Citizen when I was in 4th Grade. I Grew up in Bloomington, MN  (Famous for the Mall of America).  I have been married to my wife Melissa for 17 years who is also in the education profession and enjoy three children ages 12, 14, and 16.

Why I am excited to be joining the staff at West Fork –

Teaching the sciences open many doors for students.  There are endless opportunities to spark the imagination and inquiry with students through science.  Science helps us understand the world around us.
