Student Council meeting in the art room during 2nd midday.  Bring your planner and pencil.

Holly, Caitlin, and Sydney are reminded that they will have all-state practice after school today.

9th grade class meeting first mid-day today in Schafer’s room to go over Homecoming.

Seniors:  Stop in the office to sign up for homecoming shirts and vote for king/queen candidates.

The senior class picture will be this fall, sometime in late October.

Any student taking Ag Soils class this semester needs to meet in the Ag Room at the beginning of 4th block to get registered with NIACC for the course.

Varsity and JV volleyball practice at Rockwell at 5:15 today, JJV practice after school in Sheffield.

All volleyball players need to meet in the north gym after school for cookie order turn in.

The high school volleyball match scheduled for September 7 at home against N-K is rescheduled for Thursday, Sept. 23.

JV Football Players:  Have all of your equipment with you and be ready to leave the school at 4:30 today for the game in Belmond.  All are to wear your football pants on the bus also.

Seniors are reminded that a signed Open Campus form needs to be turned in by today for seniors to be allowed to leave during open blocks.

Speech participants that would like to go to Ankeny on Sept 18 for the debate clinic, please get a permission slip from Mrs. Schafer.

Students interested in possibly participating in the fall play should sign up in Mr. Schluetter’s room.

Volleyball shirt order forms are available in the office and are due back today.

Holly Hejlik has been selected from a pool of applicants from across the country to perform at the National FFA Convention in October.  You can catch a preview of Holly’s performance on the patio of Rich’s Muskie L0unge in Ventura on Sunday, September 5 from 2 pm – 6 pm.

The Warhawk Football Backers are placing ONE ORDER this fall for coats and jackets.  Order forms are available at Dugan’s Supermarket, the Chit Chat Café, and the banks in Thornton, Sheffield, and Rockwell as well as the homepage of the school website.  Order forms with payment are due by Friday, September 17.   Contact Carla Berding at 892-4492 with any questions.

The Sylvan Learning Center in Mason City is hosting an “ACT Diag Day”, where high school students may come to take a full-length ACT assessment, including the optional Writing subtest, for free!  This diagnostic assessment is part of Sylvan’s ACT Prep course, and it is offered once before each official ACT test date. The “ACT Diag Day” for the October 23rd test will be hosted on Saturday, September 4th beginning promptly at 1:00 pm and ending around 4:30.  Space is limited – students need to call and register prior to the assessment.  If you have any questions or would like to register, please call (641) 422-9929-James Mills.
