Re: Required meningococcal vaccine

Students who cannot present proper evidence of receiving this vaccine, or exemption, are not entitled to enrollment in school under the provisions of Iowa Code section 139A.8.  There is NO provisional enrollment period (meaning there is no extended time to receive this vaccination). Letters were sent out to incoming seniors on June 12th but there are several students who have not yet met this requirement.  Please contact your child’s doctor’s office of public health ASAP so they can get this done within this next week.
