Student council meets 2nd midday in the art room.

Mr. Ambles 1st block health class is to meet Mr. Schluetter’s room.

Homecoming reminders:

  • Today’s dress up day:  costume day, tomorrow.-class color day, Fri.- Warhawk spirit day).      
  • DRESS UP DAYS NEED TO BE APPROPRIATE OR THERE WILL BE NO DRESS UP DAYS
  • Don’t forget to tell Mrs. Mac where your float is being built.
  • Parade:  2:00 Friday, parade will go up Thompson, down Gilman and to the football field.  The pep rally, with coronation, will be at the football field after the parade.
  • Dance:  Saturday, 8:00-11:30, no charge for the dance.   Non West Fork High School guests need to be signed up in the office.
  • Football Backers are selling touchdown hankies ($5 each) and Warhawk eye black ($3 for 1 set of 4, or $5 for 2 sets of 4).  They are available in both the middle school and high school offices

 

Students wanting to eat school lunch on Friday (shrimp shapes, mac&cheese) instead of ordering pizza need to sign up in the office by today.

Joe, from accelerated rehab, will be here this morning for any students needing an athletic trainer.

Any senior interested in attending UNI next fall and majoring in business please see Mrs. Weiner for a scholarship opportunity

Speech participants interested in attending the debate clinic Sept 18, see Mrs. Schafer for a permission slip.

Any senior girl interested in the Iowa Junior Miss Scholarship program needs to see Mrs. Weiner by September 16th.

There will be a tailgate supper before the homecoming football game Friday hosted by the Post Prom Committee.  Grille pork oil patties, hotdogs will be offered – free will donation.

The Warhawk Football Backers are placing ONE ORDER this fall for coats and jackets.  Order forms are available at Dugan’s Supermarket, Chit Chat Café, and banks in Thornton, Sheffield, and Rockwell as well as the homepage of the school website.  Order forms with payment are due by Friday, September 17.   Contact Carla Berding at 892-4492 with any questions.

Visit 150 Colleges in One Day:  The Golden Circle College Fair is traditionally the largest in Iowa. Last year, 150 colleges and universities exhibited to more than 2,000 students and family members.
