The following classes are being offered: Nurse Aide Theory/Clinical (class and clinical sites are in Mason City/Clear Lake, Forest City/Garner and Charles City), Body Structure and Function w/ Lab, Nutrition, Medical Terminology 1 & 2, Introduction to Business, Principles of Management, and Introduction to Accounting. Classes are first come, first serve and some fill up very quickly. Please see Mrs. Lillquist or Kristy Molencamp our CCTC if you are interested in taking a summer class so we can get the paperwork filled out. If you are a 7th or 8th grade boy and are interested in playing basketball in the spring for the North Iowa Hurricanes please pick up a form in the office. Franklin REC is sponsoring a Youth Tour to Washington DC June 15-21, 2025. To qualify, you must be a sophomore or junior residing in the Franklin REC service territory. To participate, you must fill out an application, take a quiz and go through an interview process. Applications are due by Monday, February 24, 2025. The quiz and interview will be held on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025 at 2:00 PM. For an application, please stop by Mrs. Lillquist’s office. For additional information from Franklin REC, go to www.youthtour.coop. Upcoming Important Dates: The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is now available for you to fill out. It is highly recommended that senior students planning to attend college in the fall of 2025 file the FAFSA. You can access the FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov. You can do this on your own, but there is also help available with this process. ICAN (Iowa College Access Network) is now accepting FAFSA appointments. GAME DAY @ Bishop Garrigan!

Mrs. Enghs class were construction workers today when we used real hammers and nails to make looms! We will do some weaving on them on Friday. A huge thank you to the parents and grandparent that helped us!

Mrs. Hansen's 4s started a construction project. Thank you to our parent/grandparent volunteers! They hammered nails into wood to create a loom. They will be weaving on Friday!

Mrs. Hansen's 4s have been busy studying community helpers. They became chefs by making friendship fruit salad.

Moving on!!! The boys and girls basketball teams picked up a couple of wins earlier this week with the boys defeating Riceville on Monday night 79-69 and the girls defeating Belmond 74-67 last night. The boys will be back in action tomorrow night @ Bishop Garrigan to take on the Golden Bears and the girls will play host to Sioux Central on Friday night. Ticket links are included below. Congratulations to Libby Trewin, this year's Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen recipient for West Fork. Libby was selected for demonstrating the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. She was honored on Tuesday, February 11th, at the DAR Good Citizen Presentation in Hampton. Congratulations Libby!

Varsity Basketball post season game one

Mrs. Sturges' Little Warhawk VIP of the Week was Athena. She likes the colors purple and pink. Her interests are helping her mom clean, swimming, listening to music, and running. When Athena grows up, she wants to be a teacher and drive. A fun fact about Athena is she has one dog and two cats.
