The West Fork Athletic Booster Club in Partnership with the West Fork School District are thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new track project that will enhance our students’ athletic experience and provide a state-of-the-art facility for track and field events. As many of you know, this has been a long time dream to be brought to our school and community. This project will: • Transform the existing track in Sheffield into an all weather track, with extended run ways, an upgraded high jump area, a new long jump pit with approach, and full perimeter fencing and sidewalks. • Allow West Fork, who has a long tradition of excellence in Track and Field, to host HOME meets! • Improve safety for all athletes • Enhanced training for students and teams • Community benefits, with the track open for public use outside school hours The aggressive ambition and goal is to have construction begin in 2026. We’re excited to see how this will improve both our students’ physical education programs and extracurricular athletics. Stay tuned for updates, and the official launch of our fundraising campaign. Today's JH game would not of been possible after the rain we had last night if it were for the following people and players who stepped up today and helped me out! Mr. Thompson was out on the field at 615am moving the standing water, parents Cody Schulz, and Jessica Rother along with players Braxtyn Schulz and Olivia Rother met me at 715am to start racking and moving fresh dirt from the dirt pile to the field. JJV coach Desire, stepped up and was there by 745am helping pound dirt in and rack. Also so the JH players who arrived and started scooping dirt with their hands and 5 gallon buckets, I'm extremely proud of the hard work you all put in so we could play today! You made this coach more proud of how you stepped up to get the field playable so we could play and win our 2 games today! Coach O
