West Fork Community School District

Welcome to West Fork

  • District Information

We would like to extend a warm welcome to all students, families, and community members located within our boundaries. We have a school system in West Fork that provides students with opportunities to excel and a quality technologically driven learning environment designed to support learners at all levels.  Our district may be new in many ways but our values and traditions have become strong.

    Academics + Extra-Curricular = Excellence

  • Founded

West Fork evolved from a whole grade sharing agreement between the Rockwell –Swaledale and Sheffield Chapin Meservey Thornton Community School Districts beginning July 1, 2008.  This sharing agreement took place for three school years and as a result of a vote of the resident voters in the historical Rockwell-Swaledale and SCMT school districts, the two districts reorganized into a single district known as West Fork on July 1, 2011.   The name West Fork comes from the West Fork of the Cedar River which can be crossed on Highway 65 halfway between the communities of Rockwell and Sheffield.
