TODAY, Thursday, 1/16 is the last day to change your schedule. You also can no longer sign up for NIACC classes. The last day to drop a NIACC class is tomorrow, 1/17. Val Gonzalez from NIACC will be in the high school conference room from 8:00 - 12:00 if you need to drop a class.
If you have NIACC books for 2nd semester, please pick them TODAY, Thursday, 1/16 in Mrs. Lillquist’s office. If you have books from 1st semester, please return those ASAP!
Sukup Manufacturing Co. is hosting an engineering day on Thursday, February 20th from 9:15 - 12:30. This is a small event that has the look and feel of a group job shadow for students planning to pursue a career in engineering.Topics will include thermodynamics, fluids/airflow, 3D printing, 3D drafting software, robotics and structural design. Lunch is included and there is an optional tour available in the afternoon. Spots are limited, so please contact Mrs. Lillquist ASAP if you are interested in attending.
HS Trapshooting: Any high school students interested in participating in trap shooting this spring at H-D/CAL need to email Mr. Borchardt by January 17th. A registration meeting will be on January 19th at 5 pm at The Church Of The Living Word building in Hampton (420 First Ave NE Hampton, IA 50441).

As in years past, we will follow the same protocol with NIACC students who are currently enrolled in a NIACC course when the college semester ends. Please have a parent or guardian notify the office to ensure you're eligible for open campus during that NIACC period since the class will be completed and no longer in session. This process only needs to happen once to ensure that our district and parents/guardians are on the same page. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Mr. H. or the office. This will end when the second semester starts on January 13th and a new schedule will be issued for students.
NIACC is hosting a "Bustin' Out the Blue" campus visit event on Saturday, January 25th beginning at 12:45 PM. There will be a program, campus tours and free admission to the women's and men's basketball games in the afternoon. There are over $4,500 worth of prizes, gift cards and four $1,000 scholarships will be given away. You must be present to win. Lunch is provided and everyone who attends will received a free t-shirt! The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is now available for you to fill out. It is highly recommended that senior students planning to attend college in the fall of 2025 file the FAFSA. You can access the FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov. You can do this on your own, but there is also help available with this process. ICAN (Iowa College Access Network) is now accepting FAFSA appointments. We are also hoping to schedule filing appointments with our College and Career Transition Counselor in the near future. The Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) can be set up at any time. Options to purchase tickets include purchasing a ticket in advance on Bound or purchasing a ticket with a card at the gate (NO CASH ACCEPTED). Athletic ticket prices are $8 Adults, $5 Students/Senior Citizens. Thanks to our sponsors, Warhawk Students will again have free admission to all regular season home events for the 24/25 school year.


Congratulations to the Middle School Students of the Month. They do a great job of representing what a Warhawk means and lead by the SOAR expectations.
