Reminder:  Please sign up before 9:45.  Sign up before 1st block or after 1st block.

 

 

 

  • Congratulations to the West Fork Cross Country team for their performance at the Top of Iowa Cross Country meet! The girls finished 7th and the boys brought home the Conference Championship!

 

 

 

  • Basketball cheerleader tryout sign up sheet is in the office.

 

 

 

  • Today during homeroom, the freshmen and seniors have guest speakers.  Report to homeroom for attendance and then freshmen should go to the library and seniors should go to the north gym.  

 

 

 

  • Our S.O.A.R. goal for October is 1400 tickets.  We need 418 tickets yet, and then all high school students will receive an ice cream treat!

 

 

 

  • The last day of the quarter is Friday, October 25.  Make sure you have done all you can to show your best work.  Make this week count!

 

 

 

  • Anne Boyer from NIACC will is here TODAY, Monday, October 21st, from 8:30 – 3:30 to register students for the spring semester. If you would like to sign up for a NIACC class, please stop in. Some classes fill up quickly, so don’t wait to get registered. 

 

 

 

  • A representative from Northwest Iowa Community College will be here tomorrow, Tuesday, October 22nd at 11:15 in the high school conference room. Please stop by if you have any questions!

 

 

 

  • A representative from the United States Marine Corps will be here this Wednesday during lunch. Please stop by the senior lounge if you have any questions!

 

 

 

  • A representative from Hawkeye Community College will be here this Thursday, October 24 at 11:30 in the high school conference room. Please stop down if you have any questions!

 

 

 

  • The Blood Drive is scheduled for Friday, November 1st from 10:00-2:30.  If you’d like to donate, please see Mrs. Wilkinson.

 

 

 

  • The High School is S.O.A.R.ing high!  Our October goal is 1400 tickets by October 25.  All students will receive a treat if we reach it.  Keep working to be Safe, Outstanding citizens, Accountable, and Respectful.

 

 

 

  • Girls Basketball players check your email for information regarding the NIACC fall league.

 

 

 

  • SENIORS: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is now open for the 2020-2021 school year. This free application allows you to apply for financial aid for college. If you are even considering attending college after graduation in May, you will want to fill this out. We will have a financial aid specialist attending the first night of conferences on November 4th to assist with this, but if you would like to get a jump start – it is now open. You can access the application at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Lillquist. 

 

 

 

  • The Iowa High School Athletic Association is partnering with the National Federation of High Schools to bring students a discounted rate for an ACT/SAT prep program. Please see Mrs. Lillquist if you have any questions!
